Hey, Greg and Karen,
Dennis Hermanson here, I'm one of the Hillsborough Arts Council folks you two visited recently. Glad to see your blog here, and the feature on Sam Ezell, Jr.
I got one of his fine paintings, a Western indian (I guess maybe) chief smoking his pipe, that was a part of the several paintings he kindly allowed Paws4Ever (the great dogs and cats rescue for adoption for life, and pet training center in Mebane), to auction off at their fund-raiser last year. Sweet painting, from a really nice man. I'm proud of it, and it makes me happy each time I look at it. The indian has a heart with MOM in it tattoo on his arm.
See you both sometime around here or there.

Thanks for the comment, Dennis. Yep, they don't make 'em any nicer than Sam. We visited Paws4Ever shortly after moving here to make a cat food donation. They seem like a great shelter. Thanks for making us feel welcome at the Arts Council meeting. Nice people everywhere you look around here!
